"Surah Yunus"
" Introduction"
Surah Yunus is the tenth surah of the Holy Qur'an according to the sequence. It has 109 verses and eleven bows. This surah is in the eleventh reading. This surah was revealed in Makkah. In 98, the name of Hazrat Yunus (peace be upon him) is mentioned.
" Main theme"
The main theme of Surah Yunus is the affirmation of the belief in Tawheed, the Messengership, the Day of Resurrection with arguments and the rejection of the false beliefs of the polytheists.
" Basic subjects "
In the opening verses of Surah Yunus, the verses of the Holy Qur'an have been described as verses of perfect wisdom. They used to appreciate this book, but because of their stubbornness and obstinacy, they call this Messenger as Nawz-i-Ballah Sahir.
In Surat Yunus, while giving detailed arguments on the proof of Allah's perfect power and monotheism, it has been said:
It is Allah Who made the sun a bright light and the moon a light, and fixed the phases of the moon so that you may know the number of years and the calculation of the years, as well as the creation of the day and the night and the earth and the sky and all that is in them. Allah Almighty has placed numerous signs in the creation.
Allah Ta'ala mentioned the Day of Resurrection and said:
When Allah Ta'ala gathers these disbelievers on the Day of Judgment, they will feel the long life of comfort and pleasure in this world and the long months and years as a short hour. Their gods will acquit them. They will say, "Why did you not worship Us?"Every person will know his actions which he forwarded.
After the disbelievers have narrated these facts, the reasons for refutation of idolatry have been mentioned that even these disbelievers know that the provider of sustenance is the owner of ears and eyes, the one who brings the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living, and the master of every action. There is only Allah, yet they do not fear Allah.
The authenticity of the Holy Quran:
After rejecting monotheism and polytheism, the authenticity of the Qur'an has been explained that this Qur'an is not a fabricated book. They are denying the Holy Qur'an in the blind suffering of Dada.
It was said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):
If they do not believe this, then tell them that you are responsible for your faith and I am responsible for my faith.
At the end of Sutyunus, the lifetime of the Prophets (peace be upon them) is mentioned. He saved his messengers and believers and destroyed the rebellious nations.
